Quality system requirements Seafarer's doctors are required to have a quality system ensuring that the work is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Health Regulations.

Supervision of seafarer's doctors A seafarer's doctor performs his/her duties on behalf of the Norwegian Maritime Authority. The Norwegian Maritime Authority has supervisory responsibility towards approved seafarers' doctors, and aims to carry out 5-10 supervisions annually.
