The statistical reports are published at the start and midpoint of each year. There is also a separate report on pleasure craft.
The NMA regularly submits data to Statistics Norway. All statistics related to ships and sea transport are collected and published under Transport and tourism: Sea transport. These statistics contains information on the Norwegian merchant fleet, freight of goods in domestic trade, number of passengers between Norwegian and foreign harbours, manning on ships in the Norwegian registries, number of Norwegian ships in foreign trade, passenger information on the Hurtigruten ferries, and statistics on harbours.
