Due to a heightened threat level, the Norwegian Coastal Administration decided to raise the security to level 2 for selected port facilities 30 September 2022. Information about port facilities with a raised security level can be found in SafeSeaNet Norway when registering a voyage, and in navigational warnings.
It is the responsibility of the Norwegian Coastal Administration to determine applicable maritime security levels for Norwegian ports and port facilities. The security level that is applied to port facilities also applies to calling ships. This means that the ships will need to raise their own security levels to the levels of the ports of call.
The Norwegian Maritime Authority requests that all ships intending to call at the affected ports prepare and activate required measures.
