Provisional Certificates of Nationality/Registry and Continuous Synopsis Records (CSRs) as PDF copies only

Due to the current situation, the Norwegian Maritime Authority will send PDF copies of the Provisional Certificates of Nationality/Registry directly on bord the ships. Kindly also accept copies of CSR Documents when the originals are not on board within three months from the date of change.

Copies should be accepted in port state controls.

Although the Norwegian Maritime Authority has not yet introduced these certificates electronically, this solution has been opted in the current situation. Original Certificates of Nationality/Registry are normally issued by a Norwegian Consular Station and brought on board the ship. Du to Covid-19, this is presently not workable. The same applies for CSR Documents due to difficulties with postal- and courier services.

We kindly ask that such copies are accepted by all inspectors.
