The requirements are stated in Regulations of 5 June 2014 No. 805 on  medical examination of employees on  Norwegian ships and mobile offshore units section 19.

The regulations, which came into force 1 July 2014, granted seafarer’s doctors a transitional period of five years to comply with these requirements.
