Designated points of contacts have been established for coordination of enquiries within the NMA, confirms Mr. Lars Alvestad, Head of Department.
Ms. Tone O. Risnes (pictured), Senior Adviser with the Department of Ship Registration will have the role of coordinator for general enquiries regarding change of flag to the NIS.
- The NMA’s Management Team has had the pleasure of meeting with several shipowning companies and other clients within the maritime cluster the past couple of years. Through this dialogue, we have learned that there is a need to simplify the process of how to navigate the Authority in order for clients to get in contact with the proper employee, says Mr. Alvestad.
He adds that the new “coordination initiative” is a response to the market’s wishes and needs and a part of the Authority's goal to ensure that it will remain the preferred Maritime Authority for the shipowning companies.
Finally, Mr. Alvestad informs that the Department of Ship Registration has an officer on duty from 7 am until midnight.
