Guide to assessing a student's progress and performance in distance learning and e-learning
The educational institution shall ensure that assessment procedures are in place for distance learning and e-learning programmes.
The assessment procedures shall include, as a minimum:
1. Clear information to the student about formative assessments, such as tests and examinations, must be carried out and how the results are communicated.
- The use of learning platforms such as IT's learning, Fronter or Google classroom must describe.
2. Must have comprehensive test questions that are good enough to assess a student's competence and fit the level of competence to be assessed.
- It is recommended to prepare a question bank that selects random questions in the different topics.
3. Procedures in place to ensure the questions are kept up to date.
- The educational institution must create a procedure for building up a question bank where questions are kept continuously updated and the questions are chosen randomly during tests and tests.
4. Description of the conditions under which the examination will take place, and procedure for supervision and implementation.
- It must be described whether the exam will take place online or in a classroom, as a project assignment, larger submission, which monitoring and what security level it will be applied to.
5. A safe procedure for the exam system to prevent cheating.
- It must be described how to verify that it is the correct person taking the exam.
- It will be described how to avoid cheating both in classroom exams and possibly online exams, with the help of, for example, webcam solutions or assessors.
6. Secure validation procedures for registering results for the benefit of the Directorate of Independence.
