Psychosocial working environment
Seafarers are entitled to a fully safe working environment. This includes both the physical and psychological working environment on board. The psychosocial working environment on a ship encompasses a wide range of conditions on board, both during work and leisure time. It involves the social and interpersonal relationships, and cooperation between colleagues as well as between employees and leaders. It also concerns how the work is organized, planned, and carried out, as well as the living conditions on board.
