Employees who work on board ships have the right to voice their concerns if things are not up to standard. This includes instances of harassment, sexual harassment, bullying, safety-related concerns, or any other unacceptable behaviour on board. 

“We log all reports and evaluate them individually to make sure that the necessary steps are taken,” says Alf Tore Sørheim, Head of the Department of Operative Supervision at the NMA.

“This initiative aims to establish a safe environment for reporting a concern to the NMA,” concludes Sørheim.
