The documentation available for foreign registered companies depends upon the country of registration.  

1. The following must be stated

  • owner's name
  • type of company
  • place of registration
  • address of the Head Office
  • Name, address and date of birth of the members of the Board of Directors and the administrative manager
  • Names of those entitled to sign for the Company.
  • Name and address of the Norwegian representative.

2. Additional information for general partnership

Name, address and date of birth of all the general partners

3. If the owner is a Limited Partnership or a Limited Company or a company with limited liability

The Company's share capital, and how much of it has been paid in. If the Company's share capital has not been fully subscribed, only the subscribed capital can be given as the Company's capital.

As a main rule the following will be accepted

A certificate of Registration 

  • If it is possible to obtain from the public register in which the company is registered.
  • If so, the certificate must contains all the relevant information as listed up above.

Certificate of Good Standing along with a Secretary's Certificate (or equivalent)

If it is not possible to obtain a certificate of registration, it should be possible to obtain a Certificate of Good Standing. This certificate will confirm that the company exists.

The required relevant information as listed above must then be confirmed either by

  • A Notary Public who issues his own document in which he confirms the required information on the company or
  • The company itself by issuance of a Secretary's Certificate containing the required information on the company.
  • A Notary Public has to confirm both the correctness of the contents and that it has been issued by an authorized representative.

The certificate of registration and Certificate or good standing (or equivalent) must be legalized or amended with an Apostille.

Language

All documents must be presented in, or accompanied by, a certified translation into English or a Scandinavian language.
