A better designed user experience is probably the first thing visitors to the NMA website will register. A cleaner, clearer and more visually satisfying presentation will also look good and work well on mobile phones and tablets.

Find it faster

Digitalization of public services is happening fast in the Norwegian public sector. The NMA has previously made online services like endorsements and certificate applications available, and is expanding it's portfolio of online services.

- Our new website will make our diverse services more easily available from one place. We believe that 80% of our visitors will find what they are looking for considerably faster than before, says Steinar Haugberg, communications adviser and web editor at the NMA.

More on the way

The NMA is developing several new online services for major user groups seafarers, ship builders and ship owners. The goal is to make data in NMA's internal systems available for both seafarers and organizations via secure logins. This will enable a greater degree of self service and an even better user experience.

The NMA aims to launch one or several new services in 2017.
