In EU, the amendments will enter into force on 1 January 2024. To allow for the simultaneous entry into force in Norway, the consultation period ends on 20 November 2023. Any feedback should be submitted at the website of the Norwegian Environment Agency.
The proposed amendments to the Regulations complement the proposed amendments to the Act on the duty to surrender emission allowances, which was circulated for review earlier this year. The proposed amendments to the Act can be found here (in Norwegian only): Prop. 3 LS (2023-2024).
